AM Modulation index calculator.

Analyze with this tool the relationships between the AM-modulation index and the AM-PEP (Amplitude Modulation Peak Envelope Power) level of an AM modulated signal.

This PEP power level is of importance in your design when you do not want to drive an amplifier for example with a too high power in the power peaks.

When the output power reaches or passes the 1dB output power compression point, severe disturbances in the form of unwanted inter-modulation products will appear in the spectrum.
