Cascaded amplifier tools.
With this tool, the overall system performance of cascaded (connected in series) amplifiers can be calculated with respect to:
- Total gain
- Noise factor
- 1dB output compression power
- 3rd order output power intercept point.
Using this tool, you can calculate and analyze what the effect is when an LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) is put in front of the chain when a better noise performance is required. The improvement by the LNA's noise factor, gain and intermodulation numbers on the total chain can be seen in the yellow fields on the left-hand side of the window.
